Michelle is a Registered Social Worker with a Masters of Social Work from the University of Toronto. She has provided counselling and group support in a variety of settings, including an Indigenous community health centre, a community concurrent disorders program, a residential treatment centre, and a private practice. Michelle has experience working with a wide range of mental health issues, with a special focus on trauma, LGBTQ2S+ issues, and frontline workers (corrections, police, military, first responders, etc.) She is trained in trauma counselling using Cognitive Processing Therapy and is currently training in Somatic Experiencing®. Michelle offers a comprehensive, client-focused approach to her work, incorporating her genuine warmth, compassion, and humour.
